It's back again for 2008 and organisers of one of Cornwall's most successful Food, Arts and Crafts Festivals are promising to serve up an even bigger and better menu of delicious treats when the Boscastle Festival of Food, Arts and Crafts is revived on October 4th and 5th 2008.
Thousands of visitors flocked to the picturesque North Cornwall village of Boscastle in 2005 and 2006 to enjoy this unique weekend event which showcases the high quality local food, produce and talented crafts people who are the very essence of what this reborn village has to offer. The Festival was rested for a year in 2007 as major regeneration works were carried out in the village. Now with the works all scheduled to be finished during the early part of 2008 the festival is back on the calendar. The 2008 fayre promises to be bigger and better with a cavalcade of celebrity and local chefs turning up the heat in the demonstration kitchen, a wider range of local produce stalls offering a real plough to plate experience, and even more opportunities to see the unique arts, crafts and culture of North Cornwall.
Secretary of the Boscastle Chamber of Trade and Commerce Chris Searle is delighted that it is once again go go go for the Festival. " Boscastle has a very special atmosphere during the festival weekend with everyone pulling together to celebrate our links with superb food and culture. The fact that literally thousands of visitors joined us during the previous festivals speaks for itself. We hope many, many more visitors will join us on the 4th and 5th 2008 for what already looks likely to be possibly the finest Food, Arts and Crafts festival in Cornwall."
The Boscastle Food, Arts and Crafts Festival is organised by the Boscastle Chamber of Trade and Commerce with the support of many other organisations in the village.
Ends.
